Hey!
It's my birthday soon! Well, actually in December but you know, it's sooner than ever before this year
I'm asking my parents for a digital SLR. Since I'm gonna be 16 and all, I want to start doing photography professionally and will need to start my portfolio for my college interview next year. I'm really actually excited about college. To have a fresh start is exactly what I need. I go to quite a..."boffin" school, I guess you could call it. So more than 2 thirds of my year are staying on for sixth form coz we have like, the best sixth form in our area. But they don't do photography at my school so that's why I'm heading for college But yeah, a mixture of excited and shit scared, I guess!

Also, I think I told you guys about me seeing The Used in August? Yeah, didn't happen. It's a long and painful story but I can sum it up in a few sentences: I brought the tickets, was majorly excited, mother sold them on ebay 2 WEEKS (!) before the gig and didn't tell me, I found out, got majorly pissed off, end. The reason my mum sold them was because she happened to "stumble across" the video for Blood On My Hands on youtube and thought it was waaaaay too harsh. She also reasearched them a bit more on youtube and saw the video of Bert screaming to the crowd "I fucked all you mothers before the show" or something of that sort and was angry. So yeah, no The Used for me. BUT, I brought Paramore tickets for December 18th, so I'm very excited about that! It'll be nice to see You Me At Six again too (:

Also, I need a little advice on the whole SLR front. What SLR's do you use and why? and what do you think will be best for me? I'm looking at the Canon XTI Rebel which looks tres lovely but I'm still not sure. Comments?
